A Beekeeper Pleased To See Wasps - Whatever Next!

Submitted by: John Jessop - 17/07/2016

This morning at breakfast my wife asked me if I had seen the bees flying around the guttering of the house.  I looked out of the window and saw a cloud of bee sized insects flying near the guttering.

After breakfast I donned my bee jacket and veil, climbed the ladder to get a better view, all the time thinking of plans to perform a cut-out of a bee colony.  Joy of joys they were wasps!

No worries about poison being left in comb and robbed out by subsequent robbers following the demise of unwanted bees in the house structure.

Until the wasps switch to sweet feeding in a few weeks and become a nuisance, they can stay for a while.
